DIR Floortime Player

WonDIRful Play is seeking a full-time DIR Floortime Player to join our team in Piscataway, Middlesex County and support children with Autism through evidence-based, play-centered therapeutic work.

About the Role

As a DIR Floortime Player at WonDIRful Play, you'll provide direct therapeutic support using the Developmental, Individual difference, Relationship-based (DIR) Floortime model. This position offers meaningful, hands-on engagement with children, meeting each child where they are and building foundational skills through play.

What You'll Do

• Engage children in floor-based play sessions designed around each child's individual interests, abilities, and developmental needs
• Use Floortime techniques to encourage emotional connection, communication, and cognitive growth
• Collaborate with team members, parents, and caregivers to support consistent progress and carry-over of skills
• Maintain observation notes and contribute to ongoing assessment of each child's development
• Create a safe, affirming, and playful environment that fosters trust and therapeutic engagement
