Jackson Nurse Professionals is hiring a Travel Cardiac Stepdown RN for an exciting 13-week travel nursing assignment in Westover, West Virginia, West Virginia. This full-time position offers $2,170 per week for a skilled registered nurse ready to make an impact in acute cardiac patient care.

Position Summary

Join our team as a Cardiac Stepdown travel nurse where you'll provide compassionate, evidence-based care to patients transitioning from intensive cardiac monitoring. You'll work 36 hours per week on the night shift, delivering hands-on nursing in a dynamic healthcare environment. Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac patients' vital signs, telemetry, and clinical status throughout night shifts
• Administer medications and manage patient care according to physician orders and facility protocols
• Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings in the electronic health record
• Educate patients and families about cardiac conditions, medications, and discharge planning
• Collaborate with cardiologists, physicians, and the interdisciplinary care team to optimize patient outcomes
• Respond promptly to patient needs and address complications with clinical judgment
• Maintain strict adherence to infection prevention and safety standards

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN license valid in West Virginia
• Minimum 1 year of acute care nursing experience, preferably in cardiac or telemetry units
• BLS and CPR certification required; ACLS certification strongly preferred
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to work night shift (12-hour shifts) and adapt to travel assignments
• Valid U.S. passport or state ID required for travel nursing purposes
