About the Role

This full-time Travel Emergency Department RN position with Jackson Nurse Professionals places you at the heart of a busy ED in Salem, Virginia. You'll deliver skilled, compassionate emergency care to patients across a wide spectrum of conditions, working a night schedule of three 12-hour shifts each week. The assignment starts as soon as possible and runs for 13 weeks, with a weekly pay rate of $1,748.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to emergency department patients during 12-hour night shifts (36 hours per week)
• Assess, triage, and stabilize patients presenting with urgent and life-threatening conditions
• Administer medications and treatments while closely monitoring patient responses
• Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary care team to coordinate timely interventions
• Maintain accurate, thorough documentation in line with facility protocols and safety standards

Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license valid for practice in Virginia
• Specialty experience in Emergency Department (ED) nursing
• Availability to begin immediately and commit to the full 13-week assignment
• Flexibility to work night shifts on a 36-hour weekly schedule
• Strong clinical judgment and the adaptability that travel nursing demands
