The Opportunity
JEO Consulting Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transportation Senior Project Manager to join our dynamic team in Overland Park, Kansas. As a key member of our municipal projects division, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, design, and implementation of transportation infrastructure projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on diverse and impactful projects while contributing to the growth and success of JEO Consulting Group.
What You'll Do
- Lead and manage complex municipal transportation projects from inception through completion
- Collaborate with clients, local municipalities, and various stakeholders to ensure project goals are met
- Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Oversee the work of junior staff and consultants to ensure quality deliverables
- Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and clients
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and standards for transportation projects
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 8 years of experience in municipal transportation project management
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Experience with transportation planning, design, and construction processes
- Familiarity with local municipal policies and regulations related to transportation projects
