American Electric Power is hiring a full-time Transmission Right of Way Manager in Roanoke, Roanoke County. This leadership position oversees right-of-way operations and management across multiple transmission regions, ensuring smooth coordination of property acquisition, easement administration, and regulatory compliance for the company's critical transmission infrastructure network.

About the Role

The Transmission Right of Way Manager reports to the Right of Way Manager, Senior, and leads activities across multiple transmission regions while coordinating closely with the broader Transmission Right of Way (TROW) team. This role is essential to maintaining American Electric Power's transmission operations in Virginia and supporting the company's energy delivery mission. You'll manage complex projects involving land acquisition, easement administration, and multi-stakeholder coordination.

What You'll Do

• Oversee and coordinate right-of-way management activities across multiple transmission regions
• Lead transmission right-of-way operations to ensure effective property acquisition and easement administration
• Manage compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry standards
• Coordinate with regional transmission operations, engineering, and environmental teams
• Direct right-of-way acquisition projects and manage vendor and contractor relationships
• Monitor regional performance metrics and provide progress reporting to senior leadership
• Support strategic planning for transmission infrastructure expansion and land management initiatives

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in transmission right-of-way management or related utility and infrastructure operations
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities
• In-depth knowledge of easement administration, property acquisition, and regulatory frameworks
• Excellent coordination and communication skills across multiple departments and regions
• Demonstrated project management expertise and strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage complex, multi-region operations and competing priorities
• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
