Account Manager Southern California

About This Position

In this role, you'll combine scientific expertise with business acumen in biotech and pharmaceutical manufacturing. You'll manage key customer relationships across Southern California, developing strategic sales initiatives that advance clients' scientific capabilities. Your work involves travel throughout the LA to San Diego territory to provide hands-on support and serve as a trusted technical advisor.

Core Duties

• Build and maintain strategic partnerships with biotech and pharmaceutical manufacturers throughout your territory
• Develop tailored solutions addressing customer needs in upstream and downstream bioprocessing
• Employ consultative selling to position yourself as a trusted technical advisor
• Coordinate cross-functional support for seamless customer success
• Achieve and exceed sales targets through disciplined account management
• Conduct regular customer visits and virtual engagement to understand evolving requirements

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or related field
• Three or more years of account management, technical sales, bioprocessing, biopharmaceutical manufacturing, or customer-facing roles in life sciences
• Solid understanding of upstream and/or downstream bioprocessing workflows
• Proven track record working with biotech or pharmaceutical manufacturing customers
• Proficiency with Salesforce, CRM systems, and MS Office suite
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
• Ability to cultivate relationships at multiple organizational levels
• Valid driver's license with availability to travel 50–75% within territory
• Fluent English; additional languages valued
