About the Role
The role of ASETO at Valley View Secondary School is to support Aboriginal students transitioning from secondary education into further education or employment. Key responsibilities include providing pastoral care, academic guidance, and cultural mentoring.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Provide individualized support to Aboriginal students in their academic pursuits
- Mentor students on pathways post-secondary education
- Facilitate cultural awareness programs for staff and students
- Collaborate with school leadership, teachers, and external agencies
