Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Officer to join our team at Southern Cross Care in South Coogee. As a key member of the maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and functionality of our facilities, maintaining a clean and well-kept environment, and supporting the daily operations of the aged care centre.

What You'll Do

• Perform regular inspections of buildings, equipment, and grounds to identify potential hazards or maintenance issues
• Carry out necessary repairs and maintenance tasks in a timely manner
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the facility
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and guidelines
• Work closely with other departments to support their operational needs
• Document all maintenance activities and report any issues or concerns to management

What You Bring

• A proven track record in maintenance or related field
• Strong mechanical skills and ability to work with various tools and equipment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and a commitment to safety
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Previous experience in aged care or healthcare settings is advantageous but not essential
