The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Team Leader to join our Children’s Homes team. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of young people by supporting them through their daily challenges and celebrating their successes. The role involves providing guidance, emotional support, and ensuring that all children in our care receive the best possible environment for growth and development.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations within one of our homes, ensuring that all staff are performing effectively, and maintaining a safe and nurturing environment. This is a full-time position based in Hartlepool, County Durham, with no remote working options available.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations within the Children’s Home
• Maintain a safe and supportive living environment for young people
• Provide guidance and support to staff members to ensure effective performance
• Support young people in achieving their personal goals and aspirations
• Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations
• Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a similar role within the care sector
• Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate staff
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
• Experience in managing challenging behaviors and conflict resolution
• Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional sleep ins as required by the role
