About the Role
Stamford Public Schools is seeking dedicated and experienced secondary teachers to serve as the Secondary Science Safety Team Leader (SSTL) at Westhill High School. The SSTL will play a crucial role in supporting student safety and well-being within the science department, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations, and fostering a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement safety protocols for secondary science classrooms and labs
- Collaborate with school administration, faculty, and staff to ensure the safety of students and teachers
- Conduct regular safety inspections and training sessions for faculty and students
- Monitor and report on student behavior related to safety concerns
- Participate in emergency preparedness planning and drills

- Demonstrated experience as a secondary science teacher or similar role
