Tax Manager- Corporate Tax, National Tax

Baker Tilly Advisory Group, LP is seeking a Tax Manager for corporate and national tax matters at our New York office. In this full-time role, you'll lead tax planning and compliance initiatives for clients while expanding your expertise across our multi-state and global tax practice.

About the Role

As a Tax Manager specializing in corporate and national tax, you'll serve as a strategic advisor on complex tax issues and planning opportunities. You'll work with mid-market and enterprise clients to optimize their tax positions, ensure regulatory compliance, and navigate multi-state and international tax considerations.

What You'll Do

• Lead corporate tax planning and compliance engagements for diverse client portfolios
• Prepare and review federal and multi-state tax returns with accuracy and strategic insight
• Research evolving tax regulations and advise clients on implications and opportunities
• Manage tax audits and respond to IRS and state tax authority inquiries
• Develop customized tax strategies aligned with client business objectives and risk tolerance
• Mentor junior tax professionals and foster team knowledge and development
• Cultivate strong client relationships through proactive communication and value-added counsel

What We're Looking For

• CPA license or equivalent professional tax credential
• 5+ years of corporate tax, national tax, or Big Four/national firm experience
• Strong technical knowledge of federal and multi-state tax law
• Ability to manage multiple client engagements and priorities effectively
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with tax software and Microsoft Office applications
• Demonstrated client management and business development capabilities
