About the Role

Baker Tilly Advisory Group, LP is seeking a customs and trade advisory professional to provide strategic counsel on tariff classification, trade agreement utilization, customs duty optimization, and regulatory compliance. You'll work with mid-market and enterprise clients across industries to identify trade opportunities, reduce compliance risk, and enhance supply chain efficiency through expert guidance on global trade rules.

What You'll Do

• Advise clients on tariff classification, country-of-origin determination, and duty minimization strategies
• Review and strengthen customs policies, import/export procedures, and internal compliance controls
• Develop trade agreement analysis and customs documentation to support client operations
• Monitor changes in trade policy, tariff schedules, and regulatory requirements affecting clients
• Collaborate with tax and assurance specialists to integrate customs strategy into comprehensive business planning
• Guide clients on Free Trade Agreement benefits, supply chain restructuring, and cross-border transactions

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, supply chain, or related discipline
• 3+ years of professional experience in customs compliance, trade advisory, customs brokerage, or related field
• Working knowledge of tariff classification systems, trade agreements, and U.S. Customs & Border Protection regulations
• Strong analytical and research skills; ability to interpret complex trade regulations and communicate findings clearly
• Ability to manage multiple clients and priorities while maintaining attention to regulatory detail
• Professional judgment and client-focused approach to problem-solving
