Position Summary
The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing a team of SNAP caseworkers to ensure the efficient and accurate processing of SNAP applications. This role requires at least five years of full-time professional experience in social work, claims adjudication, or job placement.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor a team of SNAP caseworkers
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations related to SNAP programs
- Review and approve SNAP applications and recertifications
- Develop and implement training programs for staff
- Monitor and report on program performance metrics
Qualifications
- At least five years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, professional experience in social work, claims adjudication, job placement, or a related field
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with federal and state regulations governing SNAP programs
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
