Position Summary
The Safety Fleet Supervisor is a front-line manager responsible for providing training direction and safety coaching to a fleet of long-haul drivers with the goal of reducing overall risk. This role collaborates closely with Fleet Managers and other leadership on the Operations floor, focusing on enhancing safety protocols and practices.
What You'll Do
- Provide training direction and safety coaching to long-haul drivers to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Collaborate with Fleet Managers and other leadership to develop and implement safety programs aimed at reducing risk.
- Conduct regular safety inspections of vehicles and work areas to identify potential hazards and address them promptly.
- Document and track safety incidents, near-misses, and corrective actions taken.
- Participate in the development and review of safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Safety Supervisor or similar role within transportation or logistics.
- Demonstrated ability to train and coach employees on safety practices.
- Familiarity with DOT regulations and other relevant safety standards.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
