Position Summary
The State of Washington is seeking a Subsurface Data Geoscientist to join the Natural Resources Building in Olympia, WA. This full-time position offers an anticipated project employment from October 2026 to June 2027 with potential for partial telework flexibility.
Core Duties
- Analyze and interpret subsurface data to support natural resource management decisions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on projects related to geology, hydrology, and environmental science.
- Conduct fieldwork and laboratory analyses as needed for project requirements.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Geoscience, Hydrogeology, or related field with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in subsurface data analysis and interpretation techniques.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and report writing abilities.
