Your Responsibilities

• Develop structural designs and calculations for load-bearing elements using established engineering methods and codes applicable in Sweden and Europe.
• Analyse structural integrity under various conditions, identify risks and propose practical improvements that ensure safety and performance.
• Prepare detailed drawings, reports and documentation that communicate design intent clearly to multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
• Review materials, fabrication processes and construction details to confirm compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate regularly with project managers, fellow engineers and site personnel to resolve technical issues and maintain progress on structural aspects of deliveries.
• Conduct site assessments when required, verify installed work against designs and provide technical guidance throughout project phases.

Who We're Looking For

• Degree in structural engineering, civil engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Proven experience as a Structural Engineer or equivalent, including design, analysis and documentation responsibilities.
• Sound knowledge of structural analysis software, Eurocodes or comparable European standards, and good understanding of materials such as steel and concrete.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and ability to work independently while contributing to team objectives.
• Excellent communication skills in English (Swedish is an advantage) to explain technical concepts to colleagues and stakeholders.
• Willingness to work on-site in Karlstad as this Structural Engineer position is location-based rather than remote.
