About the Role
As a Special Education or General Education Teacher at The Menta Education Group's Springfield, IL location, you'll lead a small classroom with the freedom to create meaningful learning experiences. What You'll Do
- Design and deliver inquiry-based, student-centered instruction in a self-contained classroom
- Foster social-emotional development alongside academic growth
- Implement P.B.I.S. strategies to create a positive, structured learning environment
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual learning goals
- Collaborate with colleagues to support whole-child development
- Maintain required documentation and communicate with families regularly
What We're Looking For
- Valid Illinois teaching certification (Special Education, General Education, or related area)
- Demonstrated commitment to social-emotional learning practices
- Strong classroom management and interpersonal communication skills

Position Details
Full-time position based in Springfield, Greene County, IL. Hours: 7:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m. CT, Monday–Friday. Office location: 3700 Wabash Avenue, Springfield, IL 62711.
