About the Role
As a Certified Respiratory Therapist in a PRN capacity, you'll deliver essential respiratory care services to our patients while enjoying the scheduling flexibility that part-time work provides. You'll work in a healthcare system dedicated to patient-centered care and professional development.
What You'll Do
- Perform patient assessments and administer respiratory therapy treatments according to physician orders and established protocols
- Operate and maintain respiratory care equipment, including ventilators, nebulizers, and oxygen delivery systems
- Collect and analyze blood gas specimens and other respiratory samples
- Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions and prescribed therapies
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Document patient care activities and treatment responses in medical records
- Respond to code situations and participate in emergency response protocols
What We're Looking For
- Current Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential
- Valid state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist where required
- Strong clinical knowledge of respiratory care principles and practices
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Flexibility and reliability with PRN scheduling
