Special Education One-to-One Paraprofessional

Archbishop Damiano School is seeking a compassionate, dependable Special Education One-to-One Paraprofessional to join our team in Westville, Gloucester County. In this full-time role, you will partner closely with a single assigned student, helping them learn, grow, and thrive each school day.

About the Role

As a Special Education One-to-One Paraprofessional at Archbishop Damiano School, you will deliver dedicated, individualized assistance to one assigned student from arrival through dismissal. Working under the guidance of teachers and support staff, you will make sure the student can fully engage with classroom instruction while developing greater confidence and independence in line with the goals outlined in their Individualized Education Program (IEP).

Key Responsibilities

• Offer consistent, one-on-one support to a single student across the entire school day in Westville, Gloucester County.
• Assist the student in accessing lessons, participating in activities, and engaging with classroom material.
• Guide the student through everyday school routines and transitions between activities and settings.
• Encourage the growth of self-reliance, social skills, and independent learning habits.
• Provide behavioral and personal-care support that aligns with the directives and objectives of the student's IEP.
• Coordinate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and related service providers to reinforce learning goals.

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in supporting students with special needs in an individualized, one-to-one capacity.
• Patience, reliability, and strong interpersonal skills when working with students and educators.
• Willingness to follow and reinforce the strategies and accommodations detailed in a student's IEP.
• Ability to provide behavioral and personal support in a caring, respectful manner.
• Availability for a full-time, on-site schedule (this position is not remote).
