Position Summary
As a Service Technician at Specialized Chicago Lincoln Park, you'll be the backbone of our service operation. Your Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive bike repairs and maintenance across all bicycle types and components
- Diagnose mechanical and technical issues through thorough testing and inspection
- Execute wheel building, brake adjustments, gear tuning, and drivetrain service
- Build and maintain positive customer relationships through clear communication and quality workmanship
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and keep accurate service records
- Stay current with Specialized products and best practices in bicycle service
Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience working on bicycles or willingness to develop advanced mechanical skills
- Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools and technical equipment
- Ability to manage multiple service requests and work efficiently under normal shop conditions
- Passion for cycling and commitment to helping customers find the right solutions
