Volunteer Services Coordinator

Spectrumhealth is seeking a dedicated Volunteer Services Coordinator to manage our volunteer programs across multiple locations. In this full-time position, you'll play a vital role in recruiting, training, and supporting volunteers who make a meaningful impact on our healthcare communities.

What This Role Involves

As a Volunteer Services Coordinator, you'll be the backbone of our volunteer program, overseeing all aspects of volunteer engagement and support. You'll work with volunteers at multiple Spectrumhealth locations, coordinating schedules, managing volunteer records, and ensuring a positive experience for everyone who gives their time to our organization.

What You'll Do

• Recruit, screen, and onboard new volunteers, ensuring they're matched with roles that suit their skills and interests
• Schedule volunteers across departments and manage volunteer hour tracking and records
• Develop and deliver volunteer training programs that prepare volunteers for their roles
• Build and maintain relationships with volunteers, department leaders, and program staff
• Recognize and celebrate volunteer contributions through appreciation events and programs
• Manage volunteer compliance, safety protocols, and quality assurance
• Troubleshoot scheduling conflicts and respond to volunteer feedback and concerns

What We're Looking For

• Experience managing volunteer programs or recruiting and onboarding staff or volunteers
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for working with diverse volunteer groups
• Ability to work across multiple locations and coordinate with different departments
• Problem-solving mindset and flexibility in a dynamic healthcare environment
• Proficiency with volunteer management software and basic database systems
