The Opportunity

At Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, you'll architect and develop foundational systems powering mission-critical enterprise workloads globally. This is a hands-on engineering role where you'll solve complex distributed systems challenges and drive the evolution of cloud services. You'll partner with world-class engineers to tackle problems in performance optimization, system reliability, and infrastructure scale—work that directly impacts how millions of enterprises run their businesses.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain high-performance cloud services and infrastructure components
• Develop and optimize core systems handling terabyte-scale workloads and millions of requests daily
• Lead architectural decisions and drive technical direction on infrastructure projects
• Collaborate with product teams to translate customer needs into engineering solutions
• Conduct code reviews, mentor engineers, and uphold engineering excellence standards
• Debug complex production issues and implement solutions that improve system reliability and performance

Who We're Looking For

• 7+ years of software development experience, with proven expertise in systems engineering or infrastructure
• Strong proficiency in at least one systems language (Java, C++, Go, or equivalent)
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, database design, or cloud infrastructure concepts
• Demonstrated ability to own projects end-to-end and lead technical initiatives
• Excellent problem-solving skills and communication abilities in a collaborative environment
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
