About the Role
As a Senior Real Estate Development Manager on Amazon's Data Center Supply Solutions team, you'll own complex real estate transactions from market identification through closing. You'll partner with infrastructure, finance, and operations leaders to acquire properties that power AWS's global cloud platform. This is a hands-on leadership position managing multiple concurrent projects, each representing significant capital investment and strategic importance to our business.
What You'll Do
- Identify and evaluate high-potential real estate markets and properties for data center development across the Eastern United States
- Lead comprehensive acquisition processes, including due diligence, financial analysis, and technical feasibility assessment
- Negotiate complex commercial terms with property owners, real estate brokers, municipalities, and government stakeholders
- Manage deal timelines, project budgets, and regulatory compliance requirements from concept through execution
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, finance, legal, and operations teams to ensure properties meet AWS infrastructure specifications
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with brokers, local officials, and industry partners
- Present investment recommendations and strategic analysis to senior leadership
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of commercial real estate development, acquisition, or land management experience
- Proven track record negotiating significant transactions and managing complex stakeholder relationships
- Strong financial skills, including lease analysis, property valuation, and deal structure evaluation
- Strategic thinking combined with strong execution across multiple simultaneous projects
- Experience in technical, infrastructure, or industrial real estate preferred
- Highly self-motivated with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities
- Willingness to travel within the region as business needs require
