The Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated Senior Program Director to join our Youth Services team at Grand St Settlement Inc., located in the heart of New York, New York. This role offers a unique opportunity for an experienced professional to lead and develop our COMPASS program during the school year and beyond.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the COMPASS program
- Collaborate with the Brooklyn Program Supervisor/Deputy Director on strategic planning and program development
- Provide direct supervision to program staff and volunteers
- Ensure compliance with all program policies, procedures, and regulations
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with community partners and stakeholders
- Maintain accurate records and reports for the program
- Plan and implement program activities that support youth development
- Manage a budget for the program as needed
- Support fundraising efforts to secure additional resources for the program
- Attend meetings, trainings, and events related to the program and organization
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in youth development or a related field
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing staff and volunteers
- A strong understanding of youth services and community-based programs
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Experience working with low-income or underserved communities preferred
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
- Availability for evening and weekend work as needed during the school year
- Salary range: $75,000-$80,000 annually
