About the Role

As Senior Principal Sub-Assembly IPTL, you'll direct the technical and operational strategy for sub-assembly design, integration, and production. You'll serve as the primary authority for product architecture decisions, ensuring sub-assemblies meet performance, reliability, and cost objectives while maintaining alignment with broader program goals. This is a high-impact position combining deep technical expertise with strategic team leadership.

What You'll Do

• Lead cross-functional teams spanning engineering, manufacturing, quality, and program management to develop and deliver sub-assemblies on schedule and within specification
• Define technical requirements, design standards, and verification strategies for sub-assembly components and integrated systems
• Own manufacturing readiness, supply chain strategy, and production optimization for sub-assembly programs
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, technical risk mitigation, and cost reduction across sub-assembly operations
• Mentor senior engineers and engineering managers, fostering innovation and technical excellence within your organization
• Interface with senior program leadership, customers, and external partners on sub-assembly technical progress and strategic decisions

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a Principal or Senior Principal engineer or program lead in aerospace, defense, or complex systems manufacturing
• Deep expertise in sub-assembly design, integration, testing, and manufacturing processes
• Demonstrated ability to lead large technical teams and influence at the executive level
• Strong systems thinking, problem-solving, and technical decision-making skills
• Experience with program management, cost analysis, and schedule optimization
• Active and transferable U.S. government security clearance required prior to start
• U.S. citizenship is required for this position
