About the Role
As Senior Principal Scientist, you will serve as a key integrator between discovery research teams and process development functions, translating early-stage biologics insights into manufacturable, scalable solutions. You'll drive cross-functional collaboration, establish scientific frameworks that accelerate discovery-to-clinic timelines, and shape the strategic direction of our biologics pipeline.
What You'll Do
- Lead biologics discovery initiatives from concept through preclinical validation, ensuring manufacturability and regulatory compliance from the start
- Integrate molecular biology, cell engineering, and bioprocess science to optimize candidate selection and early development strategy
- Mentor and guide scientific teams, fostering a culture of innovation and rigorous problem-solving
- Develop and communicate scientific strategies for complex biologic programs to senior leadership and external stakeholders
- Champion process improvements and emerging technologies that enhance discovery productivity and reduce time to candidates
- Collaborate with regulatory affairs and quality teams to ensure all research aligns with development and compliance standards
What We're Looking For
- PhD or equivalent advanced degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, bioengineering, or related discipline
- 10+ years of progressively senior experience in biologics discovery, process development, or biotech research
- Proven expertise in antibody engineering, cell therapy, or other advanced biologics modalities
- Track record of leading cross-functional teams and translating early research into development programs
- Strong scientific judgment, strategic thinking, and ability to communicate complex concepts clearly
- Familiarity with regulatory pathways (IND, BLA) and manufacturing scale-up considerations
