Senior Safety Specialist

HelloFresh is hiring a full-time Senior Safety Specialist in Goodyear, Arizona to partner with safety leadership and strengthen workplace protections across distribution center operations. What This Role Involves

As Senior Safety Specialist at HelloFresh in Goodyear, Arizona, you will work side-by-side with the Manager of Safety and Loss Prevention to direct safety and loss-prevention efforts at a distribution center. You bring expertise that keeps operations compliant, trains people thoroughly, investigates incidents carefully, and keeps every team member focused on safer daily results in a fast-moving environment.

Your Responsibilities

• Apply integrity and prioritization of employee safety and health throughout HelloFresh operations
• Deliver specialized knowledge drawn from education, training, or experience across environmental management, regulatory compliance, occupational safety, risk management, and occupational health
• Drive full OSHA compliance covering powered industrial trucks, new-hire and ongoing safety training, lockout/tagout, machine guarding, chemical safety, and all required records including OSHA 300 Logs
• Support managers during accident or injury investigations and root-cause reviews
• Serve as the management team’s primary expert for questions on safety and security
• Maintain strong site visibility for HSE programs such as behavioral safety, safe work permits, safety observations, and near-miss reporting so every operations level stays informed and improvements can be recommended; evaluate safety-meeting effectiveness, mentor facilitators, analyze data for trends, and create corrective steps
• Confirm that contractors and visitors follow HelloFresh safety rules while on company property
• Help prepare and maintain the site emergency action plan and coordinate with local first responders when necessary
• Complete Job Safety Analyses for every routine and non-routine task performed at the site
• Raise forklift safety standards through operator training, observation, and coaching
• Create training content that includes toolbox talks, standard operating procedures, and related materials
• Oversee the partnership with site security providers and verify services are delivered for each distribution center
• Assist investigations of inventory shrinkage, intentional damage, or product theft when needed
• Support quality, food safety, production, and logistics teams as requested
• Apply continuous-improvement methods to refine processes and performance

What You Bring

• At least three years of occupational safety experience that includes manufacturing or industrial EHS knowledge
• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Occupational Health, or Environmental Health & Safety preferred; high school diploma plus four or more years of EHS experience will be considered
• Preferred safety credentials such as CSP, ASP, or OHST
• Deep knowledge of OSHA requirements with emphasis on powered industrial trucks, lockout/tagout, and strain or sprain prevention
• Outstanding communication and presentation abilities that influence colleagues at every organizational level
• Comfort with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google applications (Gmail, Drive, Sheets, and more)
• Strength as a partner who listens well, builds trust, and serves as a reliable advisor on workplace safety
• Results orientation that clarifies ambiguous situations, meets targets, and improves efficiency
• Ability to diagnose process issues, identify corrective options, and complete work productively
