Panasonic North America is hiring a full-time Health and Safety Specialist at our De Soto, Johnson County facility. If you're passionate about protecting workers and building a safer workplace, we'd like to hear from you.
About the Role
As our Health and Safety Specialist, you'll lead workplace safety initiatives across our operations. You'll develop and implement programs that keep our team healthy and protected, investigate incidents when they occur, and ensure our facility meets all regulatory standards. This is a hands-on position where your work directly improves the daily safety of our employees.
What You'll Do
- Conduct workplace hazard assessments and recommend corrective actions
- Develop, deliver, and track safety training programs for employees at all levels
- Investigate workplace incidents, document findings, and implement preventative measures
- Monitor compliance with OSHA regulations and internal safety policies
- Maintain safety records, reports, and documentation
- Collaborate with management and employees to foster a strong safety culture
- Perform safety inspections and audits on a regular basis
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in a health and safety role or similar position
- Solid knowledge of OSHA standards and workplace safety regulations
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage employees at all levels
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in record-keeping
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to think proactively about risk
- Relevant certification or coursework (OSHA, ASSE, or equivalent) is a plus
