Area Manager, Sanitation

Factor, a HelloFresh brand, is hiring a full-time Area Manager, Sanitation at its Aurora, Arapahoe County facility — a hands-on leadership role at the heart of food safety and operational excellence.

About the Role

As the Area Manager, Sanitation in Aurora, you will lead a frontline sanitation crew through daily operations, working side by side with your team to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety, and regulatory compliance. You are equally a working leader and a coach — on the floor when it counts, and accountable for the output and development of every person on your shift.

What You'll Do

• Plan, coordinate, and direct all sanitation activities across assigned areas of the production facility
• Work actively alongside the sanitation team, stepping in directly to maintain throughput and quality
• Coach, mentor, and guide team members on proper techniques, safe chemical handling, and productivity standards
• Enforce strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Safe Quality Food (SQF) protocols, and all site safety policies and procedures
• Conduct pre-operational and post-operational sanitation inspections and document findings accurately
• Identify and escalate non-conformances, driving corrective action to closure
• Collaborate with production, quality assurance, and facilities teams to minimize downtime and maintain sanitation schedules
• Maintain accurate sanitation logs, chemical usage records, and team attendance documentation

What We're Looking For

• Prior supervisory or lead experience in a sanitation, food manufacturing, or food-processing environment
• Working knowledge of GMP and SQF requirements in a production setting
• Demonstrated ability to coach and hold a team accountable in a fast-paced environment
• Solid understanding of chemical safety, dilution protocols, and proper PPE use
• Strong attention to detail and the discipline to enforce compliance consistently across all shifts
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for documentation and team direction
• Physical ability to work on your feet throughout a shift in a manufacturing environment
