Environmental, Health, and Safety Specialist

ManpowerGroup is seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety Specialist for a full‑time position in Westlake, Calcasieu Parish, supporting a leading manufacturing client.

About the Role

As part of the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) team, you will partner with plant operations and maintenance to promote a safe workplace and ensure environmental stewardship. The role involves day‑to‑day safety program administration, incident investigation, and compliance monitoring for a manufacturing facility.

What You'll Do

• Conduct workplace hazard assessments and develop corrective action plans
• Facilitate safety training sessions and toolbox talks for operators and maintenance staff
• Investigate accidents, near‑misses, and environmental releases; prepare reports and recommend preventive measures
• Maintain OSHA, EPA, and state regulatory documentation and ensure timely reporting
• Perform routine safety audits and inspections of equipment, processes, and work areas
• Support emergency response planning and participate in drills
• Track key EHS metrics, analyze trends, and present findings to management
• Collaborate with engineering and maintenance to integrate safety into project design and equipment upgrades

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field
• Minimum of three years of EHS experience within a manufacturing or industrial setting
• Solid understanding of OSHA standards, EPA regulations, and best practices for workplace safety
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data, identify risks, and develop effective solutions
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities for training, reporting, and cross‑functional collaboration
• Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and injury prevention
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast‑paced environment
