Senior Facilities Service Manager - Mechanical | Oracle | Abilene TX
Position Summary
The Senior Facilities Service Manager - Mechanical will lead the onsite mechanical service and maintenance team responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of mission-critical cooling and HVAC systems supporting hyperscale data center operations. Reporting to the Site Operations Director, this role serves as the immediate manager for Facilities Technicians.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of mechanical systems including chillers, air handlers, and other critical equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and best practices in facility operations.
- Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maximize system efficiency.
- Manage a budget for mechanical service and maintenance activities.
- Recruit, train, and mentor Facilities Technicians to ensure high standards of performance and safety.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical systems management within the data center or similar industry.
- Proven leadership skills with a history of managing teams effectively.
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, chillers, and other mechanical systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
