Join The Cigna Group as Senior Director of Sales Compensation, based in Bloomfield, Connecticut. In this full-time leadership role, you'll drive the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise-wide sales compensation strategies that fuel growth, reward performance, and strengthen our sales organization's competitive edge.
About the Role
You'll partner with executives across sales, finance, and human resources to build compensation frameworks that attract top talent and drive accountability across our global sales teams. This is a strategic position where your expertise in compensation architecture and market dynamics will directly influence how we recognize and incentivize sales success.
What You'll Do
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales compensation strategies that support business growth objectives and market competitiveness
- Design incentive plans, commission structures, and bonus programs that motivate salespeople and align with company priorities
- Lead compensation program governance, including budget oversight, plan administration, and performance analytics
- Conduct market research and compensation benchmarking to ensure our programs remain competitive within the insurance and healthcare sectors
- Collaborate with finance on forecasting, modeling, and cost management of compensation expenses
- Ensure all programs comply with regulatory requirements and support pay equity initiatives
- Analyze and report on program effectiveness, providing leadership with data-driven insights to optimize outcomes
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of experience in sales compensation, total rewards, or strategic HR leadership
- Proven success designing and managing large-scale compensation programs in enterprise environments
- Deep knowledge of sales incentive design, commission calculations, and performance management
- Strong analytical and modeling skills, with proficiency in compensation software and data analysis tools
- Excellent communication and influence skills to work effectively with C-suite and field leadership
- Bachelor's degree in business, HR, finance, or related field
- Experience in regulated industries, particularly insurance or healthcare, a plus
