Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Concordville
Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Concordville is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our clinical team in Upper Gwynedd, Montgomery County. This is a part-time position supporting patients on their path to respiratory recovery and improved health outcomes.
About the Role
As a Respiratory Therapist at our rehabilitation hospital, you'll work with patients recovering from acute and chronic respiratory conditions. You'll provide essential respiratory care services that help our patients breathe easier and regain independence during their rehabilitation journey. Your expertise in respiratory therapy will be central to collaborative, patient-centered care delivered across our facility.
What You'll Do
- Assess and monitor patients' respiratory status and needs
- Administer oxygen therapy and manage oxygen delivery systems
- Operate and maintain mechanical ventilation equipment
- Perform airway management and suctioning procedures
- Conduct pulmonary function testing and respiratory assessments
- Support rehabilitation therapies focused on respiratory function and mobility
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and rehabilitation specialists
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient care
- Educate patients on breathing techniques and respiratory health
What We're Looking For
- Current RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) certification or NBRC eligibility
- Pennsylvania respiratory therapy license
- Demonstrated experience in patient respiratory care
- Strong clinical assessment and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Commitment to patient safety and quality care
- Physical ability to perform patient care duties
