About the Role
As the Senior Director of Wellness, you will guide the day-to-day operations and long-term vision of the Wellness Center while advancing the mission of the Gaston County Family YMCA, a respected nonprofit dedicated to youth development, healthy living, and community impact. Reporting to the Associate Executive Director, this exempt, on-site position calls for a leader who can turn the YMCA's commitment to well-being into measurable, member-focused results.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee the wellness operations of the Warlick Family YMCA branch in Boogertown, Gaston County.
- Develop, implement, and continually improve healthy living and wellness programs that meet the needs of members across all ages.
- Lead, mentor, and support wellness staff to deliver an exceptional and welcoming member experience.
- Partner with the Associate Executive Director and branch leadership to align wellness initiatives with the organization's broader goals.
- Champion the YMCA's nonprofit mission of strengthening community through youth development and healthy living.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience in wellness, fitness, or health-program management, ideally within a YMCA or comparable nonprofit setting.
- Strong skills in program development, staff supervision, and team building.
- A genuine commitment to community service and the values of a charitable organization.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities with members, staff, and volunteers.
- Availability for this full-time, on-site role in Boogertown, Gaston County.
