Mirai Arabian International Company Limited is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, Riyadh Province, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time, on-site position for an experienced engineer ready to drive infrastructure excellence and operational reliability across our technology stack.
What This Role Involves
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you'll architect, implement, and maintain robust systems that keep our applications performant and secure. You'll work with containerized applications, cloud platforms, and infrastructure automation to enable rapid, reliable deployments. This role bridges development and operations, requiring both deep technical expertise and the ability to mentor junior team members and influence cross-functional decision-making.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Design and manage cloud infrastructure, including networking, storage, and compute resources
- Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines to streamline application deployment workflows
- Implement infrastructure-as-code using configuration management tools and version control
- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement scaling solutions
- Troubleshoot production incidents, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement preventive measures
- Collaborate with software development teams to define deployment strategies and operational requirements
- Establish and refine monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for proactive issue detection
- Document infrastructure architecture, runbooks, and operational procedures
- Lead on-call rotations and mentor junior DevOps and operations staff
Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional DevOps or systems engineering experience
- Deep expertise with containerization (Docker) and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Strong proficiency with one or more cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Demonstrated skill with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or similar)
- Expert-level understanding of CI/CD tools and pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, etc.)
- Solid knowledge of Linux/Unix systems administration and networking
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash, or Go)
- Proven ability to design for high availability, security, and disaster recovery
- Strong communication skills and experience working within cross-functional teams
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence
