Role Overview
At Anavation, we are seeking a Senior Cryptocurrency Engineer to join our mission team. As the primary technical authority for blockchain analysis and digital-asset tracing, you will lead the technical direction of blockchain and digital-asset investigations, working alongside forensic SMEs and developers.
What You'll Do
- Apply advanced analytical expertise to evaluate complex blockchain ecosystems and illicit-finance activity.
- Design and build investigative tools for high-confidence tracing operations and assess emerging payment technologies.
- Advise investigators on blockchain artifacts, digital-asset seizure procedures, and proper chain-of-custody for decentralized evidence.
- Independently plan and execute technical goals, shape analytic and investigative strategy, and provide mentorship or guidance to others when needed.
Skills & Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of blockchain technology and cryptocurrency ecosystems.
- Experience in digital-asset tracing and cyber-enabled financial investigations.
- Ability to lead technical direction within a mission team, working with forensic SMEs and developers.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to evaluate complex systems.
- Excellent communication and mentorship abilities.
