The Opportunity
At AnaVation, we are seeking a Software Developer to join our dynamic team and contribute to the development of secure, mission-critical applications used by federal law enforcement. This role offers an exciting opportunity for hands-on experience with modern development practices in a remote-friendly environment, with occasional visits to customer or corporate locations in DC/Northern Virginia.
What You'll Do
In this position, you will:
- Contribute to the development of case-tracking systems, evidence-processing tools, and investigative-support platforms that comply with federal security standards.
- Work closely with senior developers, forensic specialists, and crypto SMEs to build features and tools essential to the program's mission.
- Gain hands-on experience in writing clean code, participating in design discussions, supporting testing and debugging, and building software for demanding operational environments.
- Follow disciplined engineering processes and work within DevSecOps pipelines to integrate new features and improvements used daily by investigators and analysts.
Skills & Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with:
- Fundamental programming skills and the ability to learn and implement reliable, maintainable software.
- A passion for technology and a desire to make a difference in national-security and law-enforcement operations.
- Experience or willingness to learn about modern development practices and DevSecOps pipelines.
