Senior Consultant – Product Quality & Safety – Life Sciences & Healthcare

Deloitte's Regulatory, Risk & Forensic practice is seeking a Senior Consultant specializing in Product Quality and Safety for the Life Sciences and Healthcare sector, based in the Illinois Medical District, Chicago. This is a full-time position where you'll drive critical quality and safety initiatives for enterprise clients navigating a complex regulatory landscape.

About the Role

As a Senior Consultant in Product Quality and Safety, you'll guide life sciences and healthcare organizations through sophisticated compliance challenges, leveraging data analytics and emerging technologies to strengthen their quality management systems. You'll partner with executive leadership to translate regulatory requirements and risk considerations into actionable strategies that protect organizations while enabling growth.

What You'll Do

• Develop and implement comprehensive quality and safety frameworks aligned with regulatory expectations and industry best practices
• Conduct risk assessments and compliance evaluations across manufacturing, clinical, and operational functions
• Lead cross-functional teams through quality management system design, process validation, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Analyze operational data to identify gaps, trends, and improvement opportunities in quality and safety performance
• Advise clients on navigating regulatory submissions, inspections, and enforcement matters
• Support organizations in implementing emerging technologies and data-driven solutions to enhance quality operations
• Prepare documentation, audit materials, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in a life sciences, healthcare, engineering, or related field
• Minimum 5-7 years of professional experience in quality assurance, regulatory affairs, or product safety within pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or healthcare organizations
• Strong knowledge of FDA regulations, international quality standards, and compliance frameworks
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and lead stakeholder engagement across diverse teams
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with experience using data and technology tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Professional certifications in quality or regulatory fields are valued
