About This Position

You'll function as the scientific lead for Clario's Medical Imaging and General Medicine therapeutic focus, partnering closely with Clinical Operations, Product Development, Data Science, and Business Development teams. This is a senior-level position that shapes how we design, execute, and deliver imaging services to pharmaceutical and biotechnology sponsors conducting complex trials. Your authority extends to protocol interpretation, imaging methodologies, reader performance, and the technology platforms that power our work. You'll represent Clario's capabilities at sponsor meetings, scientific conferences, and regulatory discussions while building relationships with key scientific influencers in the imaging research space.

What You'll Do

  • Direct scientific oversight of imaging trial components—encompassing protocol alignment, image acquisition standards, quality control procedures, and reader methodology—ensuring all deliverables meet sponsor requirements and regulatory expectations
  • Guide the development and refinement of imaging manuals, charter documents, read rules, and study reports; review protocols and respond to data queries with scientifically grounded recommendations
  • Identify, train, and evaluate imaging readers while monitoring performance metrics and fostering consistency across reader panels
  • Evaluate emerging imaging technologies, review criteria, and industry methodologies; lead the adoption and implementation of new approaches that enhance service delivery
  • Contribute to scientific publications, white papers, and technical communications that establish Clario's expertise and advance the field
  • Work alongside Business Development during opportunity assessment, proposal development, and client presentations to articulate Clario's imaging capabilities and scientific rigor
  • Support project teams with training on study-specific scientific requirements; collaborate with Clinical Project Management on issue resolution and client communications
  • Champion process standardization, efficiency improvements, and quality metrics across the imaging therapeutic area
  • Maintain compliance with GCP, GLP, ICH guidelines, FDA regulations, ISO standards, and 21 CFR Part 11 requirements

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Medical Imaging, Medicine, Clinical Research, or a closely related scientific field; Master's degree (M.S.), Ph.D., or M.D. preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of clinical research experience within a contract research organization, pharmaceutical company, biotechnology firm, or similar research environment
  • Extensive background in imaging-based clinical trials with hands-on knowledge of image acquisition, quality assurance, and review protocols
  • Demonstrated experience operating within regulated settings, including familiarity with GCP, GLP, ICH guidelines, FDA frameworks, ISO compliance, and 21 CFR Part 11
  • Solid foundation in project planning, financial reporting, data management, and resource coordination
  • Established track record of scientific research contributions, including publications or presentations
  • Ability to synthesize complex scientific information, solve problems analytically, and influence stakeholders at multiple organizational levels
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel); strong writing, presentation, and interpersonal communication capabilities
  • Professional, adaptable approach that values quality, continuous improvement, and collaborative problem-solving
