What This Role Involves

As a School Social Worker, you'll serve as a dedicated case manager for students within our Child Study Team framework. You'll conduct psychosocial evaluations to inform educational planning, coordinate triennial assessments, and work collaboratively with educators, families, and support services to address student needs. Your work ensures students receive timely, appropriate interventions and support throughout their educational journey.

Core Duties

  • Evaluate and assess students referred to the Child Study Team
  • Manage comprehensive psychosocial evaluations and triennial review cycles
  • Serve as case manager for assigned student caseload
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families on student support plans
  • Document assessments, case notes, and progress in established systems
  • Participate in Child Study Team meetings and educational planning conferences

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field
  • State social work certification or credential aligned with school-based practice
  • Experience conducting student assessments and psychosocial evaluations
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and support services
