Sales Team Manager

Belk is seeking a Sales Team Manager for our Macon, GA location at Shops@River Crossing Belk. This full-time position offers the opportunity to lead a dynamic sales team and drive store performance in a customer-focused retail environment.

About the Role

As a Sales Team Manager at Belk, you'll oversee store sales operations and lead a team of sales associates dedicated to delivering exceptional customer experiences. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll combine strategic retail management with active floor presence, ensuring your team meets sales goals while maintaining the high service standards Belk is known for.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor a team of sales associates, fostering a positive and productive work environment
• Drive daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets through effective team coaching and performance management
• Manage scheduling, inventory oversight, and floor coverage to optimize customer service and sales opportunities
• Train team members on product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service excellence
• Monitor team performance, provide constructive feedback, and implement improvement plans as needed
• Maintain store standards, including merchandising, displays, and compliance with company policies
• Collaborate with store leadership on promotional initiatives and customer engagement strategies

What You Bring

• Proven experience in retail sales management or a similar supervisory leadership role
• Strong sales acumen and a track record of meeting or exceeding performance targets
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop team members
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and retail management tools
• Flexibility to work a retail schedule, including weekends and holiday periods
• High school diploma or equivalent; some retail management certification a plus
