Resource Teacher – $42/hour

Amergis Educational Staffing is hiring a Resource Teacher in Bellevue, Sarpy County. At $42 per hour, this full-time position offers a meaningful opportunity to support special education students in grades K–12 and advance their academic and social-emotional growth through targeted intervention and specialized instruction.

Role Overview

As a Resource Teacher, you will provide intensive instructional support to special education students across multiple grade levels. Working under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, you will design and deliver targeted lessons, coordinate with classroom teachers, and participate actively in collaborative planning to ensure every student receives the individualized support they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver specialized instruction and intervention services tailored to each student's learning needs and IEP goals
• Provide tutoring and academic support in core subject areas and skill-building
• Collaborate with general education teachers and special education staff on curriculum alignment and progress tracking
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to development of individualized education plans
• Assess student progress, document outcomes, and adjust instructional strategies as needed
• Support behavioral and social-emotional development alongside academic goals

Skills & Qualifications

• Valid teaching license or special education certification
• Demonstrated experience working with special education students
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and support staff
• Commitment to differentiated instruction and meeting diverse student needs
• Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple student plans
