About the Role
As a Residential Field Tech, you'll be the trusted point of contact for Birdwatch customers, bringing technical expertise directly into their homes. You'll diagnose and resolve maintenance issues, manage service appointments, and ensure every interaction reflects our commitment to quality. This is a full-time field position based in Washington, D.C., with travel throughout the DMV area.
What You'll Do
- Diagnose and repair residential systems and appliances at customer locations
- Explain issues and solutions clearly to homeowners in plain language
- Document all service work accurately and maintain detailed records
- Travel throughout Washington, D.C. and the surrounding DMV region to service appointments
- Apply technical knowledge and hands-on problem-solving to diverse residential challenges
- Follow professional standards and safety protocols at every job site
- Build customer confidence through reliability and workmanship
What We're Looking For
- Practical field experience in home service, maintenance, repair, or related trades
- Broad technical skills across different residential systems and equipment
- Strong communication abilities and genuine customer focus
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for field work in the DMV
