About the Role
The Ridge Recovery Center is part of Hartford HealthCare, Connecticut's most comprehensive health system. This full-time Registered Nurse position offers the opportunity to work alongside dedicated healthcare professionals committed to evidence-based addiction treatment and recovery services. Your clinical expertise and compassionate care will help patients navigate critical phases of treatment and build lasting recovery foundations.
What You'll Do
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and health screenings during intake and throughout treatment programs
- Monitor vital signs and patient health status, documenting clinical observations and changes in real time
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to clinical protocols
- Educate patients about medications, treatment plans, and health management strategies
- Collaborate with physicians, counselors, and interdisciplinary care teams to support optimal patient outcomes
- Respond promptly to patient concerns, questions, and medical needs
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and ensure regulatory compliance
- Contribute to a safe, therapeutic environment that supports recovery and healing
What We're Looking For
- Active Connecticut RN license (or ability to obtain licensure by compact)
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a structured healthcare team
- Compassion and non-judgmental approach to addiction treatment and recovery
- Reliable attendance and dependable, positive professional attitude
- Experience in acute care, behavioral health, or substance abuse treatment preferred
