Registered Nurse – Rehabilitation

About the Role

As a Registered Nurse in Rehabilitation at Good Samaritan Hospital, you'll deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients recovering from illness, injury, or surgical procedures. This full-time position places you at the center of patient recovery, working alongside physicians, therapists, and care coordinators to support each patient's journey back to wellness.

What You'll Do

• Provide direct nursing care to rehabilitation patients, monitoring clinical progress and adjusting interventions based on patient response
• Administer medications, treatments, and wound care according to physician orders and established nursing protocols
• Assess patient mobility, functional abilities, and pain levels to guide individualized care planning
• Partner with interdisciplinary teams—physical therapists, occupational therapists, social workers—to optimize rehabilitation outcomes
• Educate patients and families about discharge planning, home safety, and self-care strategies
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress in electronic health records with accuracy and timeliness
• Advocate for patient safety, comfort, and dignity in all aspects of care delivery

What We're Looking For

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
• Clinical experience in patient care, preferably in acute or rehabilitation settings
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and ability to collaborate across disciplines
• Dedication to compassionate, patient-centered care
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic healthcare environment
