Regional Sector Leader, Wastewater Treatment, US North

Stantec is seeking a Regional Sector Leader for Wastewater Treatment to drive strategic vision and operational excellence across the US North region, based in Grandview Heights, Franklin County. In this full-time leadership role, you'll guide our wastewater treatment division through innovation, technical expertise, and sustainable solutions that help communities protect and reuse water resources.

About the Role

As Regional Sector Leader overseeing Wastewater Treatment for our US North operations, you'll direct engineering and strategic initiatives that serve municipalities and industrial clients. Your leadership will shape how we approach complex wastewater challenges—from treatment optimization to regulatory compliance and infrastructure modernization. You'll partner with teams across the region to deliver solutions that advance environmental protection and community resilience.

What You'll Do

• Lead the wastewater treatment sector strategy for the US North region, including business development and client delivery
• Build and mentor technical teams of engineers, project managers, and specialists
• Guide project execution from concept through design, permitting, and implementation
• Develop sector expertise in treatment processes, regulatory frameworks, and emerging technologies
• Foster innovation in water reuse, sustainability, and resource recovery solutions
• Collaborate with community stakeholders, regulatory agencies, and internal engineering teams
• Drive operational improvements and financial performance across regional wastewater projects

What We're Looking For

• Extensive professional experience in wastewater treatment engineering or water infrastructure leadership
• Demonstrated success leading technical teams and managing complex infrastructure projects
• Deep knowledge of wastewater treatment systems, regulatory compliance, and industry standards
• Track record of innovation in sustainability, resource recovery, or treatment optimization
• Strategic mindset with ability to balance client delivery, team development, and business growth
• Professional engineering license or equivalent advanced technical credentials preferred
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with internal and external partners
