Regional Property Manager – Affordable Property Management

MMS Group invites qualified property management professionals to apply for a Regional Property Manager position in Jersey City, Hudson County. In this full-time role, you'll manage operations across a substantial portfolio within our affordable housing and supportive housing division, partnering with our leadership team to deliver quality properties and excellent tenant services across the region.

About the Role

As Regional Property Manager - Affordable Property Management, you'll hold operational oversight of assigned properties and portfolios within our expanding residential real estate business. You'll work directly with property teams, corporate leadership, and community stakeholders to ensure consistent service delivery, regulatory compliance, and fiscal responsibility across multiple locations in the Jersey City and Hudson County area.

What You'll Do

• Oversee day-to-day operations, maintenance standards, and tenant services across assigned properties
• Manage budgets, track operating expenses, and implement cost-control initiatives
• Lead and supervise property management staff and coordinate vendor relationships
• Ensure compliance with affordable housing regulations, HUD requirements, and local housing codes
• Maintain tenant relations, address resident concerns, and foster community engagement
• Monitor lease compliance, collections, and occupancy rates
• Prepare reports and provide regular updates to senior management

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of property management experience, ideally in affordable or subsidized housing
• Proven track record managing multi-unit portfolios and leading property teams
• Strong knowledge of HUD regulations, housing compliance, and property management software
• Excellent budgeting, financial analysis, and organizational skills
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to balance competing priorities and work independently
