What You'll Do
- Lead and mentor a team of solar field technicians through daily maintenance, repairs, and system optimization work
- Diagnose and resolve complex issues in photovoltaic arrays, inverters, transformers, and associated electrical systems
- Plan, schedule, and oversee preventive maintenance programs to maximize system availability and performance
- Conduct safety toolbox talks, enforce OSHA compliance, and maintain a strong safety culture across field operations
- Monitor real-time system performance data, identify underperforming equipment, and recommend corrective actions
- Document all maintenance activities, maintain accurate field records, and report operational metrics to management
- Train technicians on procedures, safety protocols, and proper equipment operation techniques
- Collaborate with engineering teams during system upgrades, equipment replacements, and facility improvements
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of field-level experience in photovoltaic solar systems maintenance and operations
- Demonstrated leadership success supervising a technical team
- Deep understanding of PV system architecture, electrical fundamentals, and troubleshooting methodology
- Current or obtainable certifications in solar (NABCEP preferred), electrical safety, or CPR
- Ability to work safely at heights and in outdoor desert conditions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for team coordination and documentation
- Valid driver's license and dependable transportation
