About the Role
As a Project Engineer at Charter, you'll oversee the execution of diverse construction and remediation projects across Connecticut and throughout New England. You'll coordinate scheduling, resource allocation, and quality assurance while ensuring all work meets regulatory standards and client expectations. This is a hands-on position where you'll work directly with field teams, clients, and internal stakeholders to deliver successful project outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Plan and coordinate project timelines, budgets, and resource requirements
- Oversee environmental remediation, demolition, excavation, dredging, utility work, landfill cap, and closure projects
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards throughout project execution
- Monitor project progress and manage quality control measures on-site
- Communicate project status and deliverables to clients and internal teams
- Coordinate with field personnel and subcontractors to maintain productivity and safety
- Document project activities and maintain accurate records for reporting and compliance
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- Demonstrated experience managing construction or environmental remediation projects
- Strong understanding of environmental regulations and compliance requirements
- Excellent organizational and project management capabilities
- Ability to work effectively in field environments and coordinate multiple priorities
- Clear communication and leadership skills
- Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office applications
