Program Specialist (Peabody Institute) – Staff

Johns Hopkins University is hiring a Program Specialist (Peabody Institute) - Staff to lead administrative, operational, and program execution functions in Baltimore. In this full-time position based in the Druid area, you'll manage core program operations and oversee staff to ensure successful delivery of our Performance Health initiatives.

Position Summary

The Program Specialist role is central to the success of our departmental programming at Peabody Institute. You will serve as the operational backbone for a major program, directing all planning, implementation, and day-to-day execution activities. This position carries responsibility for both people and processes—managing staff, coordinating events, handling financial operations, and delivering timely reporting to leadership. This is not a support role; it's a hands-on leadership position where your organizational skills directly impact program success.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and oversee all aspects of assigned program initiatives
• Manage administrative operations and ensure smooth departmental workflow
• Handle program budgets, financial tracking, and resource allocation
• Coordinate program events and activities
• Supervise and provide oversight to operational and program-delivery staff
• Prepare regular reports and program updates for departmental leadership
• Serve as point person for program-related communications and stakeholder coordination
